REALISM
Henri Biwa was a French artist, known for landscape painting and still lifes. He was born in Paris, in Montmartre district, in a family of artists. All the neighbors families Biwa was also a family of artists. The artist was the younger brother of Henri, Paul Biwa.
Henri Biwa studied at the Paris School of fine arts, which in those days was famous throughout the world and to come to study young artists from all over the world. He focused on the Western suburbs of Paris, painting outdoors in the plein air tradition; his style is between realism and impressionism with a strong naturalistic component. The artist was a member of the Société des Artistes Français and a Knight of the Legion of honor (Chevalier de La Legion d'Оннер).
