Vladimir Ruzin, schedule

Frankly, with a visit to the village of schedule VI Ruzina I was not lucky: he was very busy completing the reconstruction of their home (the basis of which - the walls of the ruins of the former miniature dairy farm shop); seriously ill after
stroke his mother, was visiting his old, still in the army, my friend.
So this summer Ruzin creatively did not work, was engaged in farming. And I did not see his new works (and for this, actually, and was driving).
Two years ago I also visited a Kadyeve Ruzina, saw how he constantly painted, getting up early in the morning, in the fields, the edges of woods, and simply
the fence of his summer residence, the benefit is very close to pond. Then I take a closer look and there with the French artist Daniel Mallet, and he
explained to me that such poluprudik-polubolottse in French is called
"la mare". But the French names of the constellations, we gazed at the sky while walking at night, I do not remember.
In this my arrival Ruzin proudly showed all of restructuring in the house, re -
folded grand oven in the kitchen, then proceeded to the second floor in the studio.
Its amazing miraculously preserved body of clearly testified that at
As this part of the building was built before the Revolution. Now this set of amazing
read in harmony with a large range of wheel etching machine, standing at the window.
Near two working tables, book shelves, a bed. The walls are machined from
from the floor, so that they do not hang. Home Ruzina put in order
many years, and now nothing reminded about the ruins. Inside is a modern
house design which designed the owner (Ruzin - graduate
Muhinki specialty "Design"). Outside - intentionally left
jagged walls of red brick, from which extends even to English
lawn - the fruit of years of effort by the owner. Lawn enclosed by a fence on the rampage
herbs on a nearby meadow. Along the fence - some bushes of wild grapes and clematis growing poorly.
In the house - a series of room-cells for coming to plein-air painters, so that
actually Ruzina house - this house of creativity. Each artist leaves are one product - a picture or graphic sheet, the memory of the work in Kadyeve.
In the image of the house, both outside and inside, and in the very way of life, felt something southern European, possibly French. Sam Ruzin people south, in southern generous and sympathetic. He was born and lived in Feodosia. In Vladimir
was the distribution of after school in Leningrad. In Vladimir took up etching. Once in the early 1990's an opportunity,
began to travel to France, where he participated in exhibitions, competitions and plein air - all actively work creatively. This was greatly facilitated
friendship with the French artists, Didier Delannoy and Daniel Mallet, interested
Russia and contemporary Russian art. Thanks to D. Mallet in 2008 took Ruzina trip to the island of Belle-Ile (in the Bay of Biscay, off the coast of Brittany), where
his attention was drawn to landscapes, which at the time, wrote Claude Monet.
Based on materials created by Belle-Ile pastels was arranged more personal
exhibition Ruzina in the halls of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve (November 2008).
A year before the development of pastel brands "Conté" and "Sennelier"
held in Kadyeve, in a short period of Indian summer and golden autumn. Created then
strict and somewhat harsh landscapes in brownish scale of colored paper were
then partially published (see: Ruzin VI Household boxes of memories. - Vladimir, 2008).
Most of them are already sold on the collections of collectors. Generally, collectors know
Ruzina as etcher, they know its black and white and color etchings. Unfortunately
In recent years, the artist abandoned the technique of etching, but fully working with the metal has not stopped. In order not to deal with harmful acid, he moved to the technique
dry needles. Figure now applied with a needle directly on polished
mirror finish copper or zinc plate, then stuffed the paint and imprinted on paper. When covered with a thin sheet of felt is between heavy rollers of printing
machine, you hear a dull rumble, like thunder echoes separated. Gray-bearded serious artist evenly and dispassionately rotates the wheel of the machine and looks like Zeus. Since the liquid acid is not necessary to deal with, and therefore the needle - "dry". However, this technique
plummets circulation of works - on the strength of 10 good copies.
Theodosius, the Black Sea and Koktebel, where Ruzin in his youth worked as a lifeguard at Karadag,
imposed, in my opinion, an indelible imprint on his creative individuality.
No wonder he eventually gave up the brightness of their color etchings and stopped
(at least for now) to muted pastels and subtle colors.
By French pastels, which he enjoys, well suited colored Italian paper for graphs, with great taste selected by the artist. The color of this rough paper "plays" in the unpainted areas, enriched and the overall texture of the work.
Ruzin tries to force in the technique of acrylic, but the bluff and too specific in
spot color within the limits of these paints, in my opinion, the possibility of the author (though it complicates the task), does not allow to achieve the desired subtlety and nuances of the game, as in pastels. Acrylic more monumental, while the pastel more intimate. Artworks Ruzina in Technology acrylic seem to me a few fantastic.
The artist sometimes refers to experiments with monotype, using all available modern means, and work in this technique are unconventional, innovative.
Of course, Ruzin does not forget traditional graphic techniques - pencil
and watercolor. Very good outline of his thin black gel pen with subsequent
highlighting of colored pencils. One of these sketches ( "Theodosius. Quarantine") is me, and I always admire his free ease and elegance - these
external manifestations of extensive experience and genuine depth of skill.
Lyricism (from South) and constructively (by design) happily together in the best
sheets Ruzina. Known to his graphic series, dedicated to the city of Vladimir,
house of creativity "Cheluskinskaya, Kadyevu, Bel-Ilyu, Crimea, as well as a series of" Ecology "
"Birds," "Evening". In my opinion, the strongest and most solid things - from kadyevskoy
series of pastels. However, time will tell.
