March 23 in Vladimir (St. Dzerzhinsky, 3 galleries on the second floor of the Regional Library) opened the first exhibition of young promising artist Mikhail Gerasimov.
Mikhail V. Gerasimov was born in 1987 in Kovrov, the propensity for drawing was determined he had a 10-11 school. He was lucky: it was in those years in his school there special classes with an artistic bent, he led keen artist and teacher, M. Yurko. The class of this, unfortunately, there was only two years, but at this time in it and studied Gerasimov.
It was then and this is thanks to this class, he began oil painting and began to make such progress, that after school was adopted in Suzdal artistic restoration school once the third year (2004). His teachers were V. Konotop (painting) and ES Saveliev (figure). After graduating in 2007, Gerasimov joined the Graphic Art Faculty of the Vladimir Pedagogical University. Since then, he becomes a party group exhibitions.
Artistic preferences of the young artist have changed with the growth of his skill. In high school, it was Van Dyck, Velazquez, Rubens, while studying in Suzdal interest shifted to the Van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse. Levitan, Serov, Repin gradually receded into the background, but as before still interested in the coffin. From local artists to have attracted their search for form and color and Victor Kim Britov Dynnikov. The focus of the young artist is now focused on the landscape, but soon, he said, he will try in the genre of still life with the addition of the human figure. But now we see that his show - it is a good application for future work. Mikhail Gerasimov want to support, but not forcing him to prepare development schemes and do not indicate how to further creativity. I hope to him eventually comes awareness of a simple truth: the wisdom of the artist - in his
self-restraint.
