"Mark Rothko: the unknown world", an exhibition in the "Garage"

The exhibition will be at the center of modern culture "garage" until August 14, 2010.

Exhibition "Mark Rothko: The unknown world" will present more than a dozen scenic paintings, covering twenty years of his work (1949 - 1969 years.). These include not only the world-famous painting «№ 12", written by the artist in 1954, but also sketches of such famous monumental Rothko projects like murals for the Seagram Building, a skyscraper (New York), Holyoke Center at Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.) and the chapel of the University of St. Thomas (Houston, Texas). In addition, it will be shown and one of the last works of Rothko, in gray and black tones, dated 1969 year.
