Leonov Pavel Petrovich
Born in 1920 in the village of Field of Volotovo Oryol region. At the end of 1930. went to the city for work. He worked in factories, chopping wood, repairing the ships, built roads, a carpenter, plasterer, stove, a tinsmith, a painter, graphic designer. He lived in Orel, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan. Since 1975 lives in the Ivanovo region. From childhood dream of becoming an artist. He studied at the Remote People's University of Arts in Moscow from MA Roginsky. After fifteen-year hiatus, began to paint. Domestic and foreign experts consider it one of the brightest representatives of Russian naive art. His name is included in the World Encyclopedia of Naïve Art (Belgrade, 1984). Member of All-Union and All-Russia Exhibition 70-80's., Conceptual expositions 90. In 1997 at the International exhibition of naive art "INSITA" in Bratislava (Slovakia) won the Grand Prix. At the next festival "INSITA-2000" was presented his solo exhibition. In the same year on the 6 th International Competition naive art "Gallerie pro art Kasper" in Switzerland was awarded the Grand Prix. Member of traveling exhibitions of the Museum of naive art: "Pushkin's characters in the works of naive artists of Russia" (1999), "And I saw a new heaven" (2001). The Moscow International Festival of naive art and creativity of outsiders Festnaiv - 2004 "and" Festnaiv - 2007.
