In 1926-1930 gg. in Bakhchisaray annually visited the artist Alexander Kuprin. In 1956 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Several paintings by the artist on Bakhchisaraysky theme is found in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov.
