27.08.09 auction house Phillips de Pury & Company provides courses in art history TsUM

October 1, 2009 the auction house Phillips de Pury & Company opens in Moscow TsUM courses of art history.
The curriculum includes four courses on the history of art as well as modern trends:

- Course "Introduction to the History of Art is dedicated to the world history of art from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century;

- Course "Introduction to Modern Art" introduces students to the history of art in the second half of the twentieth century and contemporary art today.

In addition, students requested a course of lectures on the subject of photography, iconography, architecture, industrial design, the art of the East, costume history, applied arts, as well as lectures benefisnye known art, artists and collectors.

In TsUM will operate children's creative studio where children can learn about the history of fine art, as well as participate in practical exercises.

Classes will last until the end of May 2010 (schedule is posted on the site TsUM).
