the Exhibition "Mitki and Arefieva. Family Savinykh in the non-art" organized
by the gallery "vellum" ARTPLAY will be held from 1 to 18 February 2017. In the center of the exhibition – more than 200 works of the family Savinyh – Vladimir Shagin, Natalia Zhilina and Dmitry Shagin. One of the blocks of the exhibition project will include members of the legendary group "Mitka" – Andrei Filippov, Vasily Florensky, Alexander Bushueva, Vasily Golubev, Andrey Kuznetsov, Tatyana Suginoi etc.
The first generation of the family – Vladimir Shagin and Natalia Zhilina – was part of the "arefevsky circle", a group of Leningrad artists in the postwar years, continuing the traditions of Russian avant-garde; they are considered forerunners of nonconformists 1960-х. The second generation – Dmitry Shagin, "the main MiTek" country; his name was given to the movement and the group "Mitka". Like any bright and talented phenomenon, "Mitki" have their origins, their creative system grew out of principles "arefevsky circle" and the whole of the Leningrad school of painting. Rethinking, adding her own artistic tools, artists-митьки successfully solved not only problems of pure art, but also created a whole mythology.
