"In 1972 was demobilized from the Soviet army. From 1972 to 1974 he worked at the studios. We met with Alexey Kutsenko in 2004, and became friends in 2006...In appearance and behavior, he reminded me of van Gogh...If he lived up to 50-55 years, then it would look as Alex, and also wrote...Summer Alexey went to the old straw hat a La van Gogh...It is present in many of his still lifes..After the death of the hat together with jugs, bottles, vases guitar and other attributes of his still lifes with me...

He lived in extreme poverty (6000 rubles disability pension), half was spent on drugs...Until 2006, wrote one work a month for horrible canvas...Sold rarely, randomly and cheap...Initially did a rigid pattern of chemical pencil, afterwards created objects, then "painted backgrounds"...I made him an offer that he couldn't refuse...He makes good pictures on the canvas(which he gave), and I one, two paintings each month and redeem parked at prices he never dreamed of...Since the financial situation he has fundamentally changed, that's just "good" relatives could not take advantage of this unfortunate opportunity...

Until 2006 Alexey Kutsenko wrote oil paintings, using a standard palette with a small sketchbook(approx 25x35cm)...Came to my Studio, seeing the palette 60x80, he moved to the palette size 50x70(tablet of fiberboard), then the rest of my life painting palettes 60x80...On the four large photos of his palette(out of 5)...Palette Alexei came into a state of marasmus in six months...I already saved up a lot of their palettes and posting them at exhibitions under the guise of "abstract icons"...And he told them not to throw...a year after his death made him the PCs in the CHA, there is a palette made such a splash that V. We were friends, went to the sketches, developed as artists together, knowing each other, feeling the need to literally each stroke on the canvas of each other, argued a lot about art. Then our paintings were quite different, changed approaches to the represented, but we continued to chat and make friends. One day, I had to "shove" him in a psychiatric hospital. I was of course against any treatment in these clinics, but the case was extraordinary. This time if not for the hospital - Alex would have definitely died! It was observed by a famous Professor, who was dismayed by the ability of Alex to paint with such concentration of drugs in his system. The Professor believed that Alexei unique in this sense, to discover Kutsenko, he, as a scientist, was convinced that it was impossible! ...Remember the fantastic but true story of how he first came to the clinic in his youth.
