The first European branch of the State Russian Museum, the largest Museum of Russian art, opens on 25 March in Malaga (Spain), according to the Museum.
Culture & exhibition centre (CEC) of the Russian Museum will be located in the exhibition centre "Tabacalera", in a former tobacco factory. The total area of the premises is 7.5 thousand square meters.

The temporary exhibition "Russian art of the Diaghilev era (turn of XIX-XX centuries) will be open until September and will represent 69 works of such artists as Leon Bakst, Mikhail Vrubel, Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov. The second temporary exhibition dedicated to the work of the famous artist Pavel Filonov.
Russian Museum - the country's first state Museum of Russian fine art, founded in 1895 in St. Petersburg under the decree of Emperor Nicholas II. The Museum opened to the public in March 1898.
