Honored artist of Russia. She was born in, Vladikavkaz. School years were spent in, Rostov-on-don, here she began her art education. In 1947, I. A. char entered the Leningrad art Institute named after I. E. Repin and successfully graduated in 1952. Already in thesis I. A. Charsky affected the most characteristic features of her talent. She chose the theme of the diploma illustrations of the "Quiet don" M. A. Sholokhov. The work was exhibited at the all-Union exhibition of diploma works of students of art schools and received high evaluation in print. Upon graduation, I. A. char is returned to Rostov, and all further work takes place in his hometown. In his work, Irina Alekseevna constantly accesses don subjects in the field of easel graphic art and book illustration. I. A. char has passed a difficult way of searching in art books. Children's book, classics and modern, first of all, don writers - such is the range of her work in the field of book illustration.

His professional education Charsky started in art school, Rostov-on-don, and in 1947 he entered the Leningrad art Institute named after I. E. Repin in the graphics Department. In 1952 it successfully graduated and started working in the field of easel painting and book illustrations.

Char chose the topic of their thesis - illustrations for "the Quiet don" M. A. Sholokhov. Gathering material for her thesis, she visited Art. Vyoshenskaya. Irina Alekseevna visited the old Cossack villages and forever loved steppe expanse don landscapes and the unique appearance of the people of the quiet don.

In the 70-ies of M. A. Sholokhov visited at the invitation of the husband of Irina Alexeevna, also known artist, workshop Char.
During the meeting, Irina Alekseevna showed the writer his works, and M. A. Sholokhov noted that "illustrations char beautiful, but made for a woman...".

In 1985, the book of M. A. Sholokhov's virgin soil upturned" with illustrations by I. A. Charsky was released in Rostov book publishing house.

The artist's works are on permanent display of the Museum's travelling exhibitions in different cities of our country.
