Peter Kolomoitsev: A look at life with loving eyes.

In preparing this publication , we had hoped that it would be a nice gift for the 90th anniversary of the oldest member of the Sevastopol city organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine P. Kolomoitseva . But, alas : 30 April Pyotr Mikhailovich died.

     In the work of P. Kolomoitseva - party fighting, invalids of the Great Patriotic War , Captain I rank retired - reflected the most important events of his life , especially everything related to the war . Having gone through the ordeal , for many years he continued to live the memories , and each of his paintings became more exciting one page story about his experiences , another document era.

    Born P. Kolomoitsev in miner's family in the Red Beam Luhansk region. Since childhood I dreamed of becoming an artist , but the way the profession was a long and difficult. In September 1941, a third year student of Lugansk Art School Peter Kolomoitsev volunteered for the front . Fighting the way he began sniper Infantry Division miner Southern Front . In minutes short rest took out of his shirt pocket a pencil and paper and Tablet computers made ​​quick portrait sketches of his fellow soldiers " for a greeting from the front ." And then these pictures scattered through the cities and villages in the vast country Soldiers letters of triangles. Perhaps , somewhere still preserved these sketches made Kolomoitseva .

     Severe wound received in the battle of Tuapse, almost ended in amputation hands . But surgeons managed to save it by making several complicated operations in the field - because the guy told them about his dream . " All my life I remember with gratitude the doctors for what they gave me hope to become an artist . And all my life I try to be them , "- said Peter M. .

    After a long treatment in hospitals and in school radio operators operators Caspian Flotilla Peter Kolomoitseva sent to Sevastopol on the Black Sea Fleet warships . In May 1944 . he first saw lying in ruins liberated city and immediately realized that " this land washed by one of the most festive seas of the globe ," wrote K.Paustovsky , will be his reliable " jetty ".

Began naval service , weekdays sailor , but the craving for art was irresistible . We must pay tribute to the military command , which provided the opportunity to express themselves and Kolomoitseva as an artist. Together with a friend , a graduate of the Baku Art College Anatoly Plamenitskim ( future national artist of Ukraine) , he painted the portraits of party and government leaders and posters , helped in the design of festive events.

     His first solo exhibition in the life of Peter M. spent in the dining room of a military unit . Young painter was happy that his works resonate in the hearts of the audience, and their kind words only strengthened the desire to master the subtleties of craftsmanship. In the same 1944 Kolomoitseva works were presented at the first exhibition of artists liberated Sevastopol frontline . "Big Debut" was no less successful: at work Kolomoitseva noticed Crimean known artist , the military correspondent of the Black Sea Fleet Sergei Vladimirov Isidorovich , led at the time the art studio at the House of the Navy . Education and training in Vladimirov in the famous Studio of military artists .      Purposefulness and naval hardening helped Peter Kolomoitseva achieve his goal : he became a famous painter , party city, regional and national exhibitions , international plein Sevastopol . In museums and exhibition halls Sevastopol, Simferopol and other cities of Crimea held 12 personal exhibitions . Works P. Kolomoitseva stored in a number of Ukrainian art museums and many private collections . Artwork donated by Pyotr Mikhailovich decorate Sebastopol boarding schools, public and private hospitals , home war veterans , museum historical memorial complex " 35th Coastal Battery ."

     Few people know that in these days Peter M. had several eye operations , which, however, did not save his sight . But even after losing one eye, he continued to work actively . His contribution to the development of Russian art was marked by a number of diplomas , certificates and helpful . In 2005 . PM Kolomoitsev was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
