Andrei Alexandrovich Romanov ( January 24, 1897 , Saint Petersburg - May 8, 1981 , Faversham , UK) - Imperial Blood Prince , the eldest son of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna . The grandson of Emperor Alexander III on the maternal side , and the great-grandson of Emperor Nicholas I in direct male line. His sister, Irene was married to the legendary Felix Yusupov . Talking about the sons of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich in 1937 , EV Sablin gave them such a witty response : "All the ne'er-do-well , Andrew - Blessed Theodore - an anarchist and a drunkard , Nikita - fancies himself a king Dmitry - very cute slacker in the pay of the rich Jews , Rostislav and Basil - good , small, but nikchemushnye " .
