Damir Muratov "From Siberia with Love" in the gallery 11.12 at Winery

At first Moscow solo exhibition «From Siberia with Love» (from May 18 to June 30) Omsk artist, author of the famous character Che Burashka, Damir Muratov present in the Gallery of 11.12 (CSI Winery) work in recent years, including new works created specially for the project.
Gallery 11.12 will transfer to the center of Moscow "spirit of Omsk" - a kind of «genius loci», as the ancient Romans, that is "genius loci" - the psychology and the very breath gallery, named after the epic Kuchum and located in a workshop Muratov in one of the most neglected areas of the city of Omsk, which the artist affectionately calls Bednotaunom.

The exhibition is called «From Siberia with Love». This is not a reference to one of the James Bond blockbuster, this inscription was discovered by the artist on souvenir comb of Siberian cedar wood. Damir Muratov draws its inspiration, in the truest sense of the word, in the Omsk trash - he examines them very carefully, picking it crumpled cigarette packs, leaflets, packaging of pizza, cardboard boxes, plastic bags and other garbage. And often then paints them in a style in which would work by Pablo Picasso, had suddenly decided to become a psychedelic artist ... That board was the basis of new works Muratov, specially made for the exhibition at the Gallery of 11.12.
