Gobanov Yuri, Blooming Tree, 1999, oil on canvas /canvas, 80 x 90 cm


Born in 1941 in Syktyvkar. In 1961, he moved to Arkhangelsk. In 1968, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Arkhangelsk Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a graphic designer. In 1970, he met with VV Sterligov and began to paint seriously. Member of the first exhibitions of Leningrad artists informal (1975, in DC "Nevsky"), all the exhibitions "of Sterligov." Member of the Society of Experimental Fine Arts (TEII) (1981 - 1991). Member of the Union of Artists of Russia (1991). Lives and works in Arkhangelsk.
