Under the influence of the processes taking place in society, many problems (the boundaries of art and its quality, the artist's place in society, etc.) acquire a new meaning and require rethinking.

One of these issues is the newly actualized thesis of novelty in art - has repeatedly raised this issue one of the striking art of 90th - beginning of the 2000s, Sergei piece: "As advised Nietzsche" ... than an abstract idea, the more sense to add. The eleventh season of sessions devoted to the continuation of the Moscow artists started their searches in every author tries to find the proper interpretation of the degree of novelty in relation to their artistic creativity.

He is the author of the first major monograph on Edward Steinberg, Vladimir Nemukhin, Nicolae Vechtomova. Pieces was an example not so much of European thinkers as Russian stock.
