In Düsseldorf show El Greco

From 28 April to 12 August at the Palace of Art (Museum Kunstpalast) was the largest exhibition of works by El Greco. The project patron himself the King of Spain Juan Carlos I. The works of the great masters of the Renaissance were exhibited alongside the works of other artists of the modernists. The display consists of more than one hundred works , including paintings , sculptures and drawings of forty artists of the early period of modernity, as well as nearly fifty works by El Greco , including portraits, landscapes and stories on religious themes. El Greco's works for the exhibition provided the famous museums: the Prado in Madrid , the Paris Louvre , the National Gallery in Edinburgh , London's National Gallery , the Museum of El Greco in Toledo , the National Gallery of Art in Washington , the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
The exhibition presents works by Max Beckmann, Ludwig Meidner, Paul Cézanne, Picasso and others

PS. By the way, if you turn the pictures in the other direction you can see pictures from the great big solo exhibition Akseli Gallen- Kallela (probably the only more or less well-known artists from Finnish )
