17 th August 1914 fell in the battle ensign Vyacheslav Vasiliev (artist Celli). Born in 1888 Studied at moskovskm School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He was known as a painter and a talented cartoonist. Pictures Celli - Vasilyev has been exhibited at art shows. His karikury were placed in newspapers and magazines. In addition, Celli, as an amateur, was engaged in sculpture. Curly haired, ruddy-faced, hero of the addition, humourist - Celli involuntarily attracted attention. He predicted the future. Celli, a reserve lieutenant, was intended to mobilize. 16 th August in the battle near the village of Travnik, the Lublin province, he was wounded by fragments of shrapnel in the abdomen and leg. 17 August he died. The burial took place on September 30 in Moscow, the Novodevichy Convent Cemetery. VK Vasilyev, Celli was 26 years old.
