Nadia Rusheva born January 31, 1952 in Ulan-Bator (Mongolia) in a creative theatrical family, sent to Mongolia to help the establishment of the Mongolian National Ballet.

Her mother - the first ballerina Natalia Tuvan Azhikmaa-Rusheva, his father - a theater artist and educator Nicholas Roerich Rusheva. In the summer of 1952 the family moved to Moscow.

Nadia began drawing at five years. As a first-class one evening, she drew 36 illustrations for "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" by Pushkin, while his father was reading that her favorite fairy tale aloud.

The first exhibition of her drawings was organized by the magazine "Youth" in May 1964, when Nadia went to the fifth grade. This was followed by publication in the magazine "Youth", the illustrations for the novels "War and Peace," Tolstoy and "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov. She predicted the future of book graphics, and she dreamed of becoming a young artist animator.

Her drawings were created without sketches, she always drew a fair copy. "I see them in advance ... they show on paper, as a watermark, and I left them something to circle" - said Nadia.

Over the next five years of her life was held fifteen solo exhibitions in Moscow, Warsaw, Leningrad and Artek. Her drawings loved in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania and India. Many of them were inspired by Pushkin's poetry. In 1969, the Lenfilm started shooting the documentary film "You, like your first love?, Devoted to the subject of Pushkin's works in Nadi. However, the film failed to complete.

Going to school the morning of 6 March 1969, Nadia suddenly lost consciousness and died several hours later in hospital due to rupture of cerebral aneurysms and subsequent brain hemorrhage. She was 17 years old. Doctors could not help anything. >

Among her works - illustrations of the myths of ancient Hellas, the works of Pushkin, Tolstoy, Bulgakov. Results illustrated the works of 50 authors. And then there are a few sketches, which depicted the ballet "Anna Karenina". This ballet was actually delivered - after the death of the artist. Anna has played in it by Maya Plisetskaya.

Nadia left a great artistic heritage - about 12 thousand drawings. Many of them are stored in the museum of Leo Tolstoy in Moscow, in the museum named Nadia Rusheva branch in the city of Kyzyl, in Pushkin House Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg, the National Cultural Foundation and the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. And one of them - kentavrenok - played on the monument, which stands at the grave of Nadi on the Intercession cemetery.
