BROTHERHOOD OF ARTISTS

In the Greek restaurant "Taverna", Almaty hosted a presentation album-book of memoirs, "Interrupted Flight ..." about the work of early passed away a talented artist Serik ESMAGAMBETOVA (about his work "Sim" wrote in number 15, dated 13 April this year .) We introduced Ersain Zhapak. I was struck by the sharpness of Serik: he expressed his thoughts openly, it was evident that he does not like vagueness. Friends later confirmed that it was distinguished by justice and fairness. A more subtle humor and love of flowers. He did not spare them the money to buy armfuls and gave to friends and unfamiliar people wrote them from nature. I was surprised that with such a man's rough appearance Serik has refined soul. And all of his work is permeated with a subtle understanding of nature and man.

Serik Esmagambetov was one of the first art-managers - he promoted talented young artists. So he searched for his own "self." Today, one of his works decorates the interior of the famous Rose Rymbaeva, a few more pictures are in the collections of high-ranking officials in Kazakhstan, "leave" abroad being bought by foreigners. But it is unlikely the owners of his paintings know that Serik was a poet. But he believed his poems are deeply personal and did not want to put them on public display. Another thing is the picture. And yet the friendship. After all, friends made sure that his name remains in the memory of posterity.
