Continuing the series of exposures from the cycle of "Fragments," we are glad to present an exhibition of graphic works by Boris Kocheyshvili "second birth". In a number of reasons the work started about 40 years ago, will be shown the first time.
The works included in the exhibition, have a special charm, which, last but not least, brings the history of their existence. Provenance generally significantly enriches the perception of any work. It so happened that the artist created a series of papers in the late 1960s - early 1970s, and he gave it some time later, the deposit of a colleague, the next time I saw them ... in 2010. By this time work, changing the number of "keepers" for nearly thirty years were a well-known art historian Yuri Gerchuk. It was he who a year ago has returned safely to their author.
In these graphic sheets miraculously united incredible sensuality, live plastic and some intrigue expected event, a wonderful meeting, which is about to happen. This feeling is associated with young age and temperament of the artist, and was generally characteristic of an exciting art world of the late 1960s - early 1970s. Around this time Kocheyshvili and created his unique technique of painting with ink on coated (glossy) paper. In this technique, they have a large number of pages, many of whom are now in the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum, many provincial museums and private collectors in Russia and abroad.
