23 February to 80 th year of life died an artist Gianna Tutundzhan, a leading graphic artist and painter, People's Artist of Russia.

She was buried on February 26 Kozitsynskom cemetery beside her husband, Nikolai Baskakov, who had died the year before.

January 27 in Moscow at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 on Poklonnaya Hill opened anniversary exhibition of paintings and graphic works of National Artist of Russia, member of the Russian Academy of Arts Jannah Tutundzhan.

In the Moscow exhibition features 165 works from the collection of the Vologda Regional Art Gallery and studio artist. As reported in the department of culture and protection of cultural heritage field, it's paintings and graphic works are devoted to the Russian North, the northern village life, the destiny of Russian women.

"I thank all Muscovites, everyone who came to the exhibition - said in a video Gianna Tutundzhan. - And now I feel like Kutuzov, who gave Moscow to the French, but surrendered it to save the army. And I give you my exhibit in order to restore their own strength: so these circumstances. "
