The article is devoted to the exhibition, which will be held from March 25 to April 6 in the gallery "Sovkom".
DEDICATED TO THE CRIMEA.
The fascination of the Crimea, in the truest sense of the word carries a charge of witchcraft, the appeal of charms. Visitor to walk to the south, the ancient land of Tauris, always turns out to be a prisoner of its magic. This region "captures" anyone. But, naturally, a very special stamp he puts on the artist's soul. Recall, however keen to here the writers and artists from all corners of "our vast country, how it was desirable to stay in the local" Homes of creativity. " What a wonderful works of literature and art were created here - sunny Korovinskoe and epic landscapes Vasilevsky, lyrical texts Constantine Paustovskogo and fairy tale by Alexander Green. But otherwise, mnogozhdy stronger Crimea had an impact on its native artists. IK Aivazovsky, KF Bogaevsky, MA Voloshin - these star names of Russian culture, primarily associated with the Crimea, and most of their works, so different, filled with fluid elegance and artistry of the local atmosphere, landscapes, both classical and romantic, peaceful and lush estetskih.
Five masters-Crimean (it's - Hugo Schauffler, Artem Puchkov, Irina Zaitseva, Victor Panchenko, Sergey Matyas), the successors of the great traditions. But they also reveal a totally new optics artistic outlook, which fused with the contemporary "cultural layer" only contributes to the sound of individuality, singularity of each. These qualities, coupled with skill, doing all the artists in the exhibition interesting, not only as representatives of "schools" (in this case, the difference between the creative challenges, accomplishments, creative thinking, we can talk only about the regional school), but also the international art community. That is why the "track record" of each - participated in many international exhibitions, and their paintings displayed in galleries and find shelter in collections around the world.
They are, indeed, very different.
And as if to them words of Maximilian Voloshin:
We are so different in my soul,
Single flame took care of
And closely associated with yearning
Some stones, one land,
They flashed us away,
Constellations of fiery wheels
And wherever we roam,
But the heart desperately close
Theodosia Hills.

Energy Crimea works even when the artists are "distracted" from its remarkable Crimean environment. So, in a virtual gallery Artem Puchkov after his trip to Tibet, the Himalayas, Pakistan and India appeared landscapes, in which not only - exotic motifs, marked by attentive look alien observer, but truly Roerich insight into the spiritual aura of "genius places." And yet - this is his words: "I felt the Himalayas through the Crimean mountains (...) although the scale of Tibet - an ambitious". Particularly subtle artist in the interpretation of light extravaganza - a mystical gleam of gold in the setting lights in the buildings of the mountain Buddhist monastery or a rocky peak, like a fairy tale castle, quietly pacified the light veil, unitive sea, sky and shore; pinching early honey dusk on the Charles Bridge or cypress alley, a silver detachment snow-capped mountains or classical facades. The real world on the canvases A. Puchkov yet (use the tip Benois) fenced "from the stroke of chance, from the tinsel glitter, from excess, but because of tasteless details. He was gracious, classically sustained even in the papers that carry the freshness at a glance.
Address the specifics did not play any role in the work of Irina Zaitseva (artist still performing under the pseudonym Zira). A key role in its vision of the world, to which she looks "Eyes Wide Shut" play their own vision. Visionary, mythologizing inherent in its artistic nature. Imperfection shape images, which at first glance seem to creation self-taught, naive, childish hand, is a major stake in suggesitvnosti her canvases. Her piece in its constancy, but also quirky, the world - on the brink of fantasy and reality, with recognizable characters, but neither they nor their environment (landscape or subject) may not be subjected to logical analysis, whether the coordinates dictated by the semantic logic of everyday life. Tones with tender feelings (from the lightest of irony to the hypnotic eroticism of confessional lyricism to print), saturated with overtones of art spaces. This inner sensitivity manifests itself even in those works where the artist can safely use vivid, calling paint, boldly-provocative compositions.
Sergei Matyas all imbued with a carnival, a childish game of chance in the HRE. Even when the tone of the picture, it would seem, is a serious epic, it is clearly felt grotesque overtones. Very interesting to follow the pictorial "teasers" on his canvases: the form or characters before our eyes, ready to give up their autonomy to engage in unspeakable ties with neighbors, to merge with them, play up to them, or even hint at some other his hypostasis (as King-fish "ruff" on ornamental surf from the distant Crete with carnivore, erotic pomaded mouth).
Yet compared with the "blue period" Viktor Panchenko magical world of the last two artists seems to be quite full-fledged, full of opportunity to enter into a reality. Panchenko more simple-minded, but more refined. (This is not about the nature of the artist himself, although it probably has a place to be, but about the imagery of his paintings, and thus the position). Visuality of his metaphysical canvases. Words, the interpretation has no place. Everything is built on the intuitive perception, reproduction, obeying the sound of emotional tuning fork, the tenderest minor melody. And the minor here - not a tragedy and depression, and most of all light Nocturne (can also mean to be!) Lyrics. And at the same time, in its "naive" figures, images slip something pritchevoe, but only from the folklore of the people, of which there were only mythical memories.
Hugh Schauffler itself is a persona, a character, which in the Crimea are created myths and legends, although a great artist has a lot of time living and working in Germany. But the ARC attracts him to her, and he is not in power to resist this call, happens every year, and certainly works here. From Moscow artists represent today he is the most experienced. And the experience in this case does not mean losing your soul, the immediacy of sight, the ability to wonder and surprise, joy and delight. This fact alone should be noted, because the vicissitudes of the biography, its routes were truly tough. Achievements on the path of the architect, graphic, painter, teacher, were the result, of course, God's gift, an outstanding talent, but also the personal will, the inflexible nature. At first glance, his work purely objectivist. Accurate view of the architect can do urban landscapes, akin to those that were created in the genre are. So there in his compositions, and San Gimignano, Florence and narrow street with an enchanting "coda" - a shining Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the architect could not bow to the talent Filippo Brunelleschi), and the snow-covered fortress of Salzburg. However, a careful reproduction of recognizable motif does not extinguish, I repeat, almost etude immediacy of the image. Feature of the artistic talent Schauffler makes it necessary for him not so much a search for the exotic, theatrical showiness as uzrevat festivity in the most simple picture of the world and infect the audience his admiration for the "modest" masterpieces of nature and human talent. And Crimea consistently provides master this opportunity. However, as the whole world.
In a mixture of art today, this dynamic, but also, seemingly losing its human warmth, human life options, an exhibition of five of the Crimean artists like is "a little sun in cold water."
