Markov, Leonid V. 05/03/1926 - 1988
Painter. Member of the Union of Artists. Born March 5, 1926 in Kharkov, in a family of economists. In the late 30's. Markov family moved to Poltava, where three years of the future artist studio visits paid. In 1942 his father died at Leningrad, and his mother died in 1943 in the city Volchansk, where the family was during the occupation. Leonid was 16 years old and his sister - 14.
In 1945 they move to Moscow to his uncle - Leonid Markov, focusing on a large position in the national health care. Young Markov resolutely refused to support the influential relatives and got a job in a shoe factory to support herself and her sister. In the same year he entered the art room the All, a program which differs from the program Surikovsky institution only because it was a year shorter than the expense of general education courses. While the studio was led by K. Yuon, and taught there such recognized masters as GG Ryazhsky, GA Candlemas, SN Musatov, D. M. Osipov, BP Korotkov, and Academician P.P.Sokolov-Scalia, who not only had a great impact on the work of LV Markova, and took an active part in his life, recommended him in 1951. in the Moscow Association of Artists, and later gave him excellent recommendations for entry into the Union of Soviet Artists. Since 1961, L. V. Markov a full member of MOSH.
Regular exhibition activities LV Markova began with a youth exhibition in Moscow, held in 1954, which exhibited his painting "Thaw," which critics unanimously recognized "the continuation of the traditions of Russian realistic art" and about which the venerable academician VP Efanov said : "Although it is not a member of the Artists Union, so that he may even be a pioneer, but such work can be displayed anywhere."
Since that time, LV Markov becomes a party to almost all spring and fall, All-Union, Republican and area exhibitions, annual exhibitions devoted to victory in World War II, all the exhibitions organized by the Fund for Peace, the Industrial Commission of MOSH, participates in exhibitions in Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Lebanon, the Philippines.
More than 20 years, LV Markov taught at the Palace of Culture. Gorbunov and trained a generation of artists. Many of his students finished art colleges and became members of the Artists Union.
His works are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
