Born September 3, 1945 in the village Arzgir Stavropol territory. In 1977 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of fine arts in painting class. In 1979 he graduated from the graduate school workshop of the people's artist of the USSR, academician E. E. Moiseenko.
Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1979. A member of the National Association of artists of Italy "ITALART since 1993. Honored artist of Russia since 1999. Participated in more than 300 exhibitions, including Berlinale, in Russia and abroad.

Today Vyacheslav Mikhailov is one of the most famous St. Petersburg artists. He was lucky to find his own expressive language, making work recognizable and cause genuine interest. In his work the meaning and symbolism cause no less interest than the artistic means of expression. Mikhailov boldly drawn with form and material, is not afraid to experiment and deviate from previously created and recognized by the audience manners. Great range of subjects, accessed master: in his gallery of images side by side Bible themes, genre scenes, complex multi-figure compositions.
