It has been twelve years as an artist no longer with us Valentine Podpomogova. Gone was the man who introduced us to his wonderful world through the unique prism of deep philosophical views. He left, but left the memory of his people's hearts. He is gone but still images that haunt me for many years.

Valentin G. Podpomogov began to draw his paintings in a fairly mature age. Given this fact, as well as the thoroughness with which the artist worked on his canvases, he unfortunately did not manage to create a large number of works. Podpomogov was one of those artists who need to know in life, in order to better understand and feel his world, however, post-dating the Master could be more than just admiring it or thinking about pictures. What amazes me at first glance in the works of Valentin Podpomogova so this surprising lack of dynamics in his paintings. What's always attracted me and was almost the main criterion for my love of art - "Movement", suddenly takes a back seat. Static images of his monumental breathtaking. Everything just freezes before the eyes of the viewer. Early attention focused on the main site, then look rushes to detail, you begin to empathize with the author and try to deal with their own feelings and thoughts. Sadly, cogency, seriousness of the plot are kept in suspense, makes the viewer "mature" before our eyes.
Each of the paintings Podpomogova is an independent, comprehensive and incredibly rich literary and artistic composition. His paintings are in addition to aesthetic pleasure is associated with real life. Thoughts of a rumor "about the pictures though Podpomogova delishsya something very personal and intimate. From my long observation and interviews with viewers of paintings Podpomogova I found out for himself a very curious fact: it turns out that the thoughts of the audience almost no overlap, the paintings evoke each very different and personal associations, interpretations, and emotions.
