Today, April 27, at Galeev Gallery (B. Kozikhinsky AC, 196, p. 1) opens the exhibition "Memorial". Submitted drawing, painting, photographs and posters in wartime.

The twentieth century like no other, is the century of confrontation. "Wiser" mankind has felt the new content of this ominous sign - "war". If the First World War was the "midwife" the world's artistic avant-garde - its development against a background of ruins, in the midst of building a new world order, a World War II - is a qualitatively new level of artistic reflection.

This exhibition presents a chronicle of Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in the works of painters, graphic artists, photographers. Most of the exhibits to the public is unknown. The core of this exhibition - a personal collection of famous art critic, theorist of the Leningrad School, the author of many works of art of the twentieth century - Boris Davydovich Suris (1923-1991).
