The artist's watercolors of Verdin Ernie (Ernie Verdine)
Artist Ernie Verdin (Ernie Verdine was born in a small town in Central Missouri in 1945. From his childhood and teenage years, he was fond of painting, and later conducted seminars and taught classes in watercolor. Since 1992, he has dedicated his full day to the work of the artist. After moving to Utah, he settled in a historic house in Logan.
When the children left home, Ernie along with his wife established a working Studio in the apartment upstairs in their two-story old brick building, retaining all the old furniture that was collected over many years. Wife Ernie Sharon @- a successful textile artist, Ernie @- foremost landscape painter of the Northern mountains of Utah valley and Cache Valley.
Work Verdine almost entirely done in watercolor, gouache and acrylic paint. He uses a restrained palette, close to each other in color and the various structural elements that give his landscapes a sense of peace and tranquility.
